Job Description Manufacturing Piping Superintendent: We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Piping Superintendent to oversee and manage all piping operations within our manufacturing facility. This role involves leading a team of skilled workers, coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in piping systems, fabrication, process optimization, and leadership to drive efficiency and quality in operations.

Key Responsibilities: Supervise the fabrication of piping systems within the plant. Collaborate with engineering, construction, and maintenance teams to ensure optimal system performance. Interpret and review P&IDs, spool drawings, and submittals for accuracy and efficiency.

Lead and manage a diverse team of piping professionals, ensuring high productivity and morale. Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide mentorship and training to team members. Conduct regular team meetings and address operational challenges proactively.

Enforce strict safety regulations and compliance protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment. Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify risks and implement preventive measures. Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to OSHA and industry standards.

Implement quality control measures to ensure proper installation and functionality of piping systems. Conduct inspections and testing to identify and resolve non-conformities. Develop and execute process improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.

Work closely with engineering, procurement, and operations teams to align piping operations with overall project goals. Provide regular progress reports and updates to management. Maintain clear communication with vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and utilization of piping materials and equipment. Manage takeoffs, ordering materials, and ensuring optimal product and material flow. Minimize downtime and enhance resource utilization.

Maintain accurate records of safety protocols, quality inspections, workforce metrics, and operational reports. Track weekly performance metrics and implement corrective actions when necessary. Qualifications & Skills: 5+ years of supervisory experience in piping operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Expertise in piping systems, fabrication, and material selection. Strong understanding of P&IDs, spool drawings, and submittals. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety standards, and industry codes.

Ability to motivate and manage a diverse workforce in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Proficiency in technology, spreadsheets, takeoffs, ordering materials, and computer systems (Microsoft Office, tablets, smart devices).
