The Opportunity:
The Cloud Pipeline Engineer will support data ingest and transformation for a government financial reporting system. You will support cloud-based data intake and storage, data ingestion automation, and ensuring the reliability of processes responsible for data loading and data transformation. The role will require you to have the pipeline engineering expertise and the ability to maintain pipeline parameters, configuration, and transformation functions / code.
Responsibilities:
  • Automate ingestion of external partner data sources using predetermined formats and CSV.
  • Design, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS S3, AWS Glue, and AWS Data Management Services (DMS).
  • Provide operational support for AWS services and Glue jobs, Redshift tuning, DMS tasks, Lambda, S3, IAM, and troubleshooting.
  • Offer Oracle database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and PL/SQL-based business rules.
  • Assist maintain and troubleshoot validation and processing logic embedded in Oracle stored procedures and .NET applications.
  • Deliver O&M support and provide capacity for system reliability and enhancements.
  • Contribute to CI/CD automation and infrastructure-as-code development using Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Terraform.

Qualifications:
Required: (Must meet required skills below to qualify. Please be sure ALL skills are listed on resume)
  • Willing and able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud data platform roles.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience, including Glue, Redshift, S3, DMS, IAM, and Terraform.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining scalable ETL/data integration pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as Bitbucket and Jenkins.
  • Working knowledge of Redshift and Oracle environments.

Desired:
  • Experience supporting or modernizing .NET and Java applications within data processing environments.
  • Oracle database performance optimization experience with PL/SQL, indexing, etc.
  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL including stored procedures, packages, and business rule logic.
  • Experience supporting server environments and troubleshooting with Splunk or Zabbix.
  • Background in large-scale data platform modernization or cloud migration initiatives.
