Cascade Process Controls is hiring a Business Development Manager that will finalize sales deals with clients. Your duties are to identify and develop prospects, follow sales leads, manage a healthy and continuously active sales funnel, and negotiate terms with potential customers to secure signed contracts.


The Business Development - Sales/Closer Representative will be responsible for developing and executing the corporate sales strategy while maintaining a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities. This role involves studying and segmenting the marketplace to enhance and maintain customer relationships effectively. By closely collaborating with both the sales team and customers, this individual acts as a strategic partner in the decision-making process.

  • Market Analysis: Study the marketplace to develop an informed and targeted sales strategy.ย 
  • Sales Funnel Management: Maintain a consistently full and active sales pipeline by proactively sourcing, qualifying, and advancing opportunities aligned with revenue goals.ย 
  • CRM Management (PipeDrive): ย Utilize PipeDrive as the primary CRM tool to track all sales activities, update deal stages, document client interactions, and ensure accurate pipeline visibility and forecasting.ย 
  • Account Planning: Create detailed account plans, perform competitive analyses, establish project timelines, and forecast estimated revenue.ย 
  • Customer Understanding: Gain a clear understanding of customer organizational structures, trends, decision-making processes, and initiatives.ย 
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify trends and new business opportunities within the industry.ย 
  • Relationship Management: Schedule bi-monthly review meetings with customers to communicate progress, discuss requirements, and strengthen relationships.ย 
  • Account Prioritization: Prioritize customer accounts based on perceived revenue growth and product mix, setting objectives accordingly.ย 
  • Strategic Customer Plans: Under the direction of the Business Development Manager, develop, grow, and maintain strategic customer account plans to meet or exceed annual sales objectives.ย 
  • Pipeline Visibility & Reporting: Ensure all opportunities, communications, and next steps are accurately recorded in PipeDrive to support reporting, forecasting, and decision-making.ย 
  • Risk Management: Manage internal and external risks and liabilities concerning customer accounts.

Requirements

Experience: 5+ years of industry experience and/or 5 years of sales experience, preferably in Electrical, Instrumentation, and Fiber sectors.

Education: Completion of post-secondary education in Business or related field. A combination of education and experience with be considered.ย 

Industry Knowledge: Oil & Gas industry experience preferred, with an emphasis on electrical, instrumentation, and fiber contracting.

Relationship Building: Ability to develop and maintain customer and internal relationships based on honesty and mutual respect.ย 

Decision-Making Insight: Proven ability to understand customer decision-making processes and align them with company services.

Personal Attributes: Driven, self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and focus on professional development.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills with confidence in delivering presentations.

Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.

Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Initiative and Creativity: High degree of initiative, creativity, and self-supervision, along with respect for safety requirements.

Collaboration: Must be a team player and work closely with maintenance, production, engineering, and outside services.
