Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Pinnacle Rehab Associates, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing individual treatment plans tailored to meet each patient's specific needs and capabilities, in accordance with their physician's prescriptions.
  • Directing and supervising Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the effective delivery of therapy services and adherence to care plans.
  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests to assess muscle strength, joint mobility, and overall functional capabilities.
  • Assessing the home environment and making recommendations to optimize the rehabilitation process and enhance patient independence.
  • Administering therapeutic exercises, including manual techniques, and guiding patients through non-manual exercises to promote recovery.
  • Implementing modalities such as traction, massage, and other physical agents to relieve pain and enhance functional performance.
  • Fitting, evaluating, and adjusting prosthetic and orthotic devices as necessary and collaborating with the physician to suggest modifications.
  • Taking an active role in the interdisciplinary team, participating in case conferences to collaboratively plan and evaluate comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Monitoring patient progress and documenting changes in condition, providing insights to the patient's physician and care team.
  • Educating patients and their families about instructions for care at home, including proper usage of mobility devices and home exercise programs.
  • Timely submission of clinical documentation including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes as per organizational policies.
  • Completing functional assessments and revisions of care plans periodically to adapt to patient needs and community resources.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily includes individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or illness, including conditions such as orthopedic injuries, stroke, and chronic pain syndromes. As a Physical Therapist, you will work with diverse clients ranging from pediatric to geriatric age groups. Your role will directly impact their rehabilitation journey, aiming to restore independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in physical therapy, preferably in acute care or home healthcare settings.
  • Current and valid PT licensure in Texas, in good standing.
  • Valid CPR certification and a driver’s license with automobile insurance.
