About the role

As a Senior Android Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and supporting next-generation authentication capabilities for enterprise mobile applications. You will work with Android native development, mobile security, authentication standards, and modern passwordless authentication technologies.

In this role, you will implement FIDO2, WebAuthn, Passkeys, Biometrics, YubiKey, and TOTP-based authentication on Android platforms while integrating with the Ping Identity ecosystem, including PingFederate, PingOne, and PingID.

In this role, you will:
  • Design, develop, and support authentication capabilities for enterprise Android applications.
  • Implement FIDO2, WebAuthn, Passkeys, Biometrics, YubiKey, and TOTP-based authentication.
  • Integrate Android applications with PingFederate, PingOne, and PingID.
  • Develop native Android applications using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and Jetpack Compose.
  • Support the Android application lifecycle and deliver responsive mobile user interfaces using Material Design.
Work model

What you need to have to be considered
  • 7 or more years of Android or full-stack development experience.
  • 5 or more years of Identity and Access Management experience.
  • 3 or more years of FIDO2 and passwordless authentication implementation experience.
  • Experience with native Android development using Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, Gradle, and Jetpack Compose.
  • Experience implementing FIDO2, WebAuthn, Passkeys, Biometrics, YubiKey, and TOTP-based authentication.
  • Experience integrating with the Ping Identity ecosystem, including PingFederate, PingOne, and PingID.
  • Knowledge of the Android developer ecosystem, Google Play Console, and Android application lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Material Design and responsive mobile user interface development.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position depends on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
