Assistant Project Manager (Electrical Construction)

Location: Orange County, CA (On-Site)


JML Search is partnering with a well-established electrical contractor in Southern California to identify an Assistant Project Manager to join their growing team.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in commercial construction project management with a company that has been successfully delivering projects for nearly 60 years. Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects

• Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, equipment rentals, and project logistics

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, change orders, and project documentation

• Track project schedules and help ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget

• Work closely with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and clients

• Participate in project meetings and assist with project reporting and communication

• Support project closeout and turnover activities

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience in construction, project coordination, estimating, facilities, maintenance, engineering, or a related field

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience reading construction drawings is preferred

• Experience in electrical construction is a plus but not required

• Construction Management degree is beneficial but not required

• Motivated, coachable, and eager to grow into a Project Manager position
