PIER 290 Restaurant in Williams Bay, WI is hiring Grill and Sauté Cooks to join our culinary team! We are seeking energetic and dependable individuals who thrive in a fun, fast-paced kitchen environment. Some prior experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a passion for food.


If you enjoy working with a great team, take pride in creating high-quality dishes, and want to be part of a restaurant that brings the Lake Life experience to every guest, we’d love to have you on our crew. Hiring immediately – dinner shifts available (2 PM – 10 PM). Five positions open.

PIER 290 serves up the Lake Life as the only waterfront restaurant on Lake Geneva! Guests enjoy beautiful lake views in our dining room, front deck, or covered canopies. Our extensive menu features casual American fare for lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch. Along with dining options, guests can also sit with their toes in the sand and a drink in their hand on our lakefront sandy beach or around our fire pits throughout the summer. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and cook menu items on the grill and sauté station according to recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service of dishes
  • Assist with prep work, stocking, and organizing ingredients for daily service
  • Ensure consistency in portioning, presentation, and taste of all dishes
  • Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and team members during busy service periods

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant kitchen preferred; willing to train the right candidate
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Passion for food and a positive approach to problem-solving

WORK SCHEDULE

We are hiring immediately for dinner shifts: 2 PM – 10 PM. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Weekend and evening availability will be required.
