Job description

This is a New York City, NY, based position that works both in-office (2 days/week) and remotely. #LI-Remote
As a Senior Digital Inventory & Yield Analyst, you will sit at the center of DIRECTV's digital revenue engine. This is a high-visibility, highly cross-functional role responsible for inventory planning, yield execution, forecasting accuracy, pricing discipline, and executive-ready reporting across DIRECTV's digital ad products.
This role partners closely with Sales, Planning, Programmatic, Product, and Rev Ops to ensure inventory is priced, packaged, forecasted, and optimized in a way that protects yield while supporting revenue growth-particularly across streaming video, programmatic, pause ads, and live sports.
Here's what you'll do:
  • Support day-to-day yield management and inventory execution across DIRECTV's digital ad portfolio to maximize revenue performance.
  • Analyze revenue, supply, demand, and pacing trends to identify yield risks, inventory constraints, and optimization opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining pricing standards, yield benchmarks, and inventory guardrails across digital products.
  • Partner with Programmatic and Yield teams to support pricing optimization, floor strategy, and overall marketplace health.
  • Produce recurring and ad-hoc reporting on yield performance, sell-through, capacity, and pacing for sales and leadership audiences.
  • Support inventory planning and forecasting tied to upfronts, tentpole events, and in-year demand shifts.
  • Partner with Sales and Planning teams to evaluate inventory availability, yield impact, and pricing for new opportunities.
  • Investigate delivery issues, revenue fluctuations, and data anomalies; recommend corrective actions to protect yield.
  • Support evaluation of new platforms, capabilities, and monetization initiatives by assessing potential yield impact, revenue upside, and operational risk.
  • Contribute to improvements in reporting tools, processes, and data workflows to increase efficiency and forecast accuracy.

What you'll need to be successful:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in digital media, advertising analytics, inventory management, yield, pricing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work confidently with large datasets.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Experience with digital ad platforms, reporting tools, or ad-tech systems (e.g., FreeWheel, Looker, MPP, or similar).
  • Knowledge of digital advertising fundamentals, including CPMs, pacing, supply/demand dynamics, and yield optimization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting digital advertising or digital media businesses (e.g., digital video, streaming, programmatic, addressable).
  • Working knowledge of digital inventory and yield concepts, including CPMs, pricing floors, pacing, sell-through, and supply/demand dynamics.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Planning, Product, Yield, or Programmatic teams.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret digital performance data and communicate insights clearly.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving and execution skills.
