Job Summary

The Urgent Care Medical Assistant assists in the management of patient care and coordinates patient flow to ensure care is delivered safely effectively and efficiently, while providing direct and indirect assistance to the patient and physician, and serving as a liaison between the facility, physician, insurance company and other healthcare agencies.


Required Qualifications

- Require current/active Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant credential.


Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinical experience in an Urgent care Center or Ambulatory/Outpatient setting.
- Prefer demonstrated computer literacy with windows-based programs.
- Prefer demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to handle difficult customers or situations.
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
- Prefer previous college or vocational training.
- Prefer the ability multi-task, prioritize duties and demonstrate initiative and self-direction.


Mandatory Education

HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate

BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR

Our urgent care centers are open 7 days a week, 8am-8pm. Evenings, weekends and holidays are required. Additionally, shifts can vary from 8 hour shifts to 10 and 12 hour shifts. Flexibility to work at all 7 of our urgent care locations is also required, however schedule location preferences will be taken into consideration.
