Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room - Days

$20,000 Sign-on bonus eligibility

Schedule: 3-12-hour shifts (every other weekend)

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.

  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.

  • Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.

  • Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

  • Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.

  • Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.

What we're looking for 

The right person who will provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Applicants should have a current RN VA or compact state license and possess an associate's degree in nursing. 

Additional requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) within 6 months.
  • Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association, preferred)
  • Experience in acute care hospital, preferred

Hourly range - $33.19 - $44.81 per hour
