About The Role
As a Business Account Manager you will join our account management and business development team, which is driving the adoption of Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess® for both global pharma- and innovative biotechnology organizations. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities as well as expanding business with existing customers, which will ultimately power pharmaceutical industry and help make breakthrough discoveries and bring them to market faster.
This is an interdisciplinary role within the commercial organization at Genedata interfacing sales- and account management, product management and marketing.
The position offers a high level of interactivity and responsibility in a quickly growing company and the opportunity to work as part of a strong international team.
This full-time position is based at our office in Lexington, MA.
It requires about 20% travel within the US and requires occasional travel to Europe.
Compensation includes a base salary of $110,000-$125,000 plus Sales Incentive Compensation (SIC), with target annual earnings of $140,000-$250,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
Your Responsibilities
Key activities include working on both pre- and post-sales projects focused on our enterprise platforms Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess® which are tailored to support data- and workflow management in biopharma R&D.
  • Stakeholder management (in pre- and post-sales)
  • Coordinate with Genedata-internal stakeholders (e.g., project and product management and technical sales)
  • Understand customer pain points to identify opportunities for new business development and business expansion with existing customers
  • Build strong customer relationships across entire organizations with scientists, R&D heads, IT managers and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver scientific and sales presentations

Skills & Experience
  • MSc or PhD in biology, biotechnology, bioprocess, bioinformatics, or a related field
  • Familiar with the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or software industry
  • Familiar with biopharma R&D processes (antibody screening technologies, CGT, discovery technologies, bioprocess, bioanalytics, CMC), biopharma production, analytical instrumentation, or lab automation
  • Familiarity with enterprise or capital equipment sales and stakeholder management is a plus
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to work independently
  • Ability to interact productively with scientists and IT experts at all levels of an organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong interpersonal skills in combination with a talent for giving presentations
