Job description

Position Title: Medical Reviewer (Medical Affairs - Rheumatology)
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of extension based on performance and budget)
Location: 100% Remote (No travel or onsite attendance required)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Reviewer to provide high-level medical expertise and oversight for our U.S. Medical Affairs Immunology division, specifically supporting the Rheumatology team. This individual will serve as a key consultant on a high-priority special project, driving the medical and scientific review of both promotional and non-promotional materials.
The ideal candidate will possess deep therapeutic experience in Rheumatology (specifically within JAK and IL-23 pathways), a solid understanding of U.S. promotional review regulations, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional remote teams including Regulatory and Commercial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Medical & Scientific Review: Provide rigorous medical oversight for the review and approval of promotional and scientific materials in strict compliance with U.S. regulatory standards and corporate guidelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Medical Leads, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams to align promotional and non-promotional assets with overall medical strategies.
  • Strategic Support: Serve as a subject matter expert for U.S. commercial teams to validate promotional claims, support scientific messaging, and ensure accurate clinical communication.
  • Interdepartmental Liaison: Act as a central link between cross-functional review committees, integrating current medical information, clinical data, and therapeutic insights into departmental resources.
  • Meeting Participation: Active engagement in weekly remote cross-functional alignment and review meetings.

Qualifications:
1. Education
  • Advanced degree in life sciences or clinical discipline: PharmD, MD, or Master's degree in Biology/Chemistry (or equivalent relevant scientific background).

2. Core Experience
  • Therapeutic Expertise: Background in Immunology, with a primary preference for Rheumatology (experience with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, and related conditions).
  • Therapeutic Area: Immunology (Rheumatology emphasis: Rheumatoid Arthritis, Psoriatic Arthritis, etc.)
  • Target Pathways: High preference for candidates with direct experience supporting products in the JAK and IL-23 therapeutic spaces.
  • Promotional Review: Demonstrated experience conducting both Medical Review and U.S. Promotional Material Review within the pharmaceutical industry. (Candidates with a blend of U.S. and ex-U.S. promotional review experience will be considered, provided recent U.S. review experience is present).
  • System/Process Familiarity: Prior hands-on experience using Veeva PromoMats is preferred. (Strong promotional review experience with other systems will also be considered, as PromoMats can be trained).

  • Immediate availability for a 6-month full-time contract assignment.
