The Opportunity: This is an entry-level position at one of our client sites supporting a large Boston site in Charlestown. Daily duties focus on mail sorting and scanning of documents. We also process a high volume of outbound mail at this location. IST is looking for friendly, service-oriented, customer focused people with a passion for excellence. We offer professional training, skills enhancement, and opportunities to advance toward supervisor, assistant manager and site manager positions.
Hourly Compensation: $19.00-21.00/HR
Location: Office is near City Square, in Charlestown, and conveniently located to stations for all of the different lines on the MBTA including commuter rail.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities include:
  • Sort and scan medical claims into clients claims system.
  • Assist with outbound mail process, so that all assigned outbound mail is sent out on a daily basis.
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude
  • Typing correspondence, filing, copying, data entry, word processing, sending and receiving faxes, sorting mail and other administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Handle time-sensitive material like confidential documents.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands in a high volume, production environment
  • Consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines/Take direction from supervisor or site manager; Adhere to all safety procedures/Perform other tasks as assigned
  • Participate in cross-training Maintain all logs and reporting documentation; attention to detail

Qualifications
Job Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) - College Degree is a plus and allows a fast track plan to management
  • Customer Service/ Hospitality/ Retail background preferred
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills; Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment; Competency in performing multiple functional tasks
  • Ability to meet employer's attendance policy
  • A valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation to and from work
  • Lifting up to 55 pounds
