Job description

Substitute School Nurse

Job Title:                      Substitute School Nurse
Hours/Days:                 Flexible, as needed
Compensation:            Board approved rate of $19.17/hr.
Job Summary:
Member of Perry School District's Substitute Nurse call list.  These positions may include working in the school clinic or servicing a student in a one on one nursing role.  Duties will include taking care of the health of the studnts of Perry Schools, logging clinic visits, providing emergency care, making telephone calls etc.  Candidate can select days available to be called for the substitute role. 
Qualifications for position:  






  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Ohio.
  • Prior experience working with school age children preferred
  • Must possess demonstrated leadership qualities and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, staff, administrators, and parents.
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Satisfy all statutory provisions governing a criminal record background check including submission of all pre-employment requirements.
  • Recommendation of prior employer(s)
  • Technologically literate

Will work under the supervision of Perry School Registered Nurses
