Job description

Statement of Primary Purpose
Assist in the instruction of students in the Welding, Facilities Maintenance, Culinary and Office Administration programs at the LBJ Job Corps Center.
Classification
Continuing Education Part-time Instructor
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
โ€ข Ability to instruct and monitor students in the use of equipment related to welding, facilities maintenance, culinary, and office administration.
โ€ข Applicant must possess the stamina for outdoor work, be able to operate equipment related to the specific trades, and know proper use of safety equipment.
โ€ข Knowledge of various Microsoft Office software programs, ability to type, and general office administration knowledge is also required.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Associate of Applied Science Degree Preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Previous teaching experience preferred.
Physical Demands
Possess the stamina for outdoor work.
Working Conditions and Environment
Job Corps follows the federal holiday calendar. Schedule is M-F 8:00a-4:00p. Maximum of 25 hours per week.
Equipment Operation
Mowers, leave blowers, construction equipment, hand tools, computer, calculator, and copier.
