Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Driver, Loader, and Unloader to support daily transportation and material handling operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting products to designated locations, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety and customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport products, materials, and equipment to customer and company locations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Load and unload products, materials, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Verify delivery contents against shipping documents and customer orders.
  • Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transportation.
  • Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules while maintaining excellent time management.
  • Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, and maintain accurate transportation records.
  • Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Assist with warehouse organization, inventory movement, and material staging when not making deliveries.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified).
  • Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and team members regarding delivery status and issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, loading area, and work environment.
  • Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Assist in other warehouse, shipping, receiving, or production duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Previous driving, delivery, warehouse, loading, or unloading experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
  • Ability to safely operate delivery vehicles, box trucks, or company vehicles as assigned.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling shipments and documentation.
  • Ability to read and follow delivery schedules, shipping documents, and work instructions.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.

  • Ability to enter and exit delivery vehicles multiple times throughout the day.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
