Job description

PPS is seeking a detail-oriented Plant Operator for our liquid waste management facility in Austin. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits and a high ceiling for growth!

Responsibilities:

· Load/unload docks using forklift

· Operated vacuum trucks to unload liquid waste and process materials through screening and filtration systems.

· Monitor gauges and charts, and use computerized systems to ensure optimal treatment and compliance with regulations

· Perform minor maintenance on equipment, identify and resolve equipment issues, and make necessary repairs

· Operate and monitor pumps, valves, and other treatment equipment to control the flow and treatment processes

· Document operational data, maintain records on water quality, and prepare reports to ensure adherence to environmental regulations

· Follow safety procedures, plan emergency response protocols, and act to fix issues

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

· High level of attention-to-detail

· Proven mechanical acumen- working with hand/ power tools

· Forklift operation experience

· Monitoring machines or processes

· Ability to follow SOPs to maintain environmental compliance

· Experience handling liquid waste, wastewater, or chemicals (preferred)
