Job description

Ready to take the next step in your eye care career? If you've got 2+ years of experience in an eye care clinic, this lead role puts you at the center of the full patient journey, from check-in through the entire appointment and follow-up care.

You'll work hands-on with advanced services like myopia management, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, and vision therapy, owning the patient experience from start to finish rather than just one piece of it.

This is a team-first environment that values experience: strong support, room to mentor newer staff, and the chance to deepen both your clinical and optical skills while leading patients through complex care needs.
 
Lead Patient Care Specialist- Eye Care Duties:
  • Manage patient check-in, verify information, and set expectations for the visit
  • Perform clinical testing, take patient history, and document accurately in the EMR
  • Assist the doctor by preparing patients and identifying potential care needs
  • Educate patients on treatment options, products, and services
  • Handle checkout, including billing, payments, scheduling, and order processing
 
Schedule:
  • Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.
 
Pay: $22- $26 per hour DOE
 
Lead Patient Care Specialist- Eye Care Requirements:
  • 1–3+ years of experience in optometry, ophthalmology, or similar healthcare setting
  • Strong clinical and technical skills including pre-testing, EMR documentation, and patient history
  • Excellent communication and patient service skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced workflow independently
  • Experience with patient education or product recommendations
