Which permanent data entry jobs are legit?

Legitimate permanent data entry jobs are typically offered by established companies and involve tasks like inputting information into databases or spreadsheets. Job Title: Case Development Specialist - Healthcare Intake
Location: Creve Coeur, MO (100% On-Site)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Flexible lunch options: 1-hour lunch, or 30-minute lunch to leave at 4:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 / hour (Commensurate with experience)
Position Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking detail-oriented, self-driven professionals to join a dynamic healthcare and legal recovery team as a Case Development Specialist. In this role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for intake processing, manually screening incoming referrals, analyzing claims data, and converting raw information into structured legal and recovery cases.
This position is ideal for candidates with a background in call centers, medical billing, healthcare claims, or data entry who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy investigative, accuracy-driven work.
Key Responsibilities
  • High-Volume Intake & Review: Daily processing of inbound faxes, emails, and phone calls; review accident reports and insurer-supplied data to identify third-party liability and reimbursement opportunities.
  • Data Extraction & Case Setup: Accurately extract key details (member names, treatment dates, injury facts, and case details) and input raw intake data into internal systems to create actionable files for recovery and legal teams.
  • Inbound Calls: Professionally handle high-volume incoming phone calls from members, clients, and carriers to gather necessary case facts.
  • File Troubleshooting & Documentation: Verify case documentation for accuracy, clear up missing information, and clearly document decisions and intake rationale.
  • Production Targets: Maintain high standards of quality while meeting daily production targets of approximately 50 case touches per day (adjusted for call volume vs. queue days).
  • Collaboration: Work alongside team members and escalate complex or borderline cases to subject-matter experts when needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in data entry, call center intake, medical billing, revenue cycle operations, or insurance claims processing.
  • Attention to Detail: Proven track record of high accuracy and comfort handling repetitive data extraction tasks.
  • Communication: Polished, articulate, and professional phone presence.
  • Adaptability & Drive: Ability to learn quickly through hands-on shadowing, ask proactive questions, and take initiative.
  • Assessment: Willingness to complete a standard online client assessment prior to interviewing.
  • Attendance: Exceptional reliability and promptness with a strict commitment to 100% on-site work.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with healthcare claims, Property & Casualty (P&C) data, Third-Party Liability (TPL), or subrogation/case recovery.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment & Schedule Details
  • Environment: Professional, strict business casual dress code (jeans permitted on Fridays only).
  • Shift Breaks: Two paid 15-minute breaks and a choice between a 1-hour or 30-minute meal break.
  • Training: Hands-on, collaborative shadowing program designed to get you up to speed quickly.

Why Join Us?
  • Career Growth: Clear path to permanent conversion for reliable, top-performing individuals.
  • Skill Expansion: Gain valuable, specialized experience in healthcare and legal case recovery.
  • Innovative Culture: Work within a growing organization that actively integrates modern AI and technological advancements into workflows.
