Job description

Who We Are

MML Hospitality is a Texas-based group with concepts across the country. Since opening in 2009, Perla's has stood as one of Austin’s premier dining institutions. Located in the heart of bustling South Congress, Perla's offers fresh fish and oysters flown in daily from both coasts, served up on Austin's prettiest oak-shaded patio and in our airy, coastal-chic dining room. We are dedicated to delivering impeccable fine-dining standards wrapped in a vibrant, coastal-casual atmosphere.

About the Role

As a Service Manager at Perla's, you will be a key leader on our management team, driving the exceptional level of service our guests have come to expect. You will manage high-volume shift execution, cultivate guest relationships on our busy floor, and mentor our front-of-house team. This is a spectacular opportunity for a hospitality professional who understands fine-dining nuances but loves the energy of a bustling, fast-paced restaurant.

What You’ll Do
  • Orchestrate the Floor: Command daily shifts with confidence, ensuring seamless steps of service, efficient table turns, and exceptional pacing in a high-volume environment.

  • Elevate Service Standards: Maintain meticulous front-of-house standards—from oyster bar execution to precise wine and cocktail service—through active floor presence and coaching.

  • Cultivate Community: Engage with guests and regular clientele, handling feedback seamlessly and ensuring every visit feels like a premier dining experience.

  • Lead & Mentor: Assist with training, scheduling, and developing a skilled FOH team, inspiring a culture of professionalism and positive teamwork.

  • Operational Oversight: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, inventory, labor cost management, and opening/closing procedures.

What You’ll Bring
  • Fine Dining or Upscale Experience: At least 2 years of progressive management experience in a high-volume, premium, or boutique restaurant.

  • Hospitality Mindset: A genuine passion for seafood, wine culture, and guest connection.

  • Dynamic Leadership: An inspiring, "lead-by-example" management style with excellent problem-solving abilities on the fly.

  • Sharp Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships effortlessly across guests, staff, and senior leadership.

  • English fluency is required; Spanish fluency is a plus.

What We Offer (The Good Stuff)
  • Competitive Salary + Bonus Potential

  • Health & Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, and Pet Insurance.

  • Work-Life Balance: Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) & Parental Leave.

  • Perks: Incredible MML Property Discounts (dine across our 25+ concepts!).

  • Growth: Beverage Education Reimbursement, clear advancement pathways, and relocation assistance.

  • Future Planning: Retirement benefits and structured community service opportunities.

To Apply

If you want to step onto one of the most iconic restaurant floors in Austin and grow your career with a premier hospitality group, we want to hear from you.
