$5,000 sign on bonus. 

Monday-Friday, 11:00am-7:00pm. 

DH Benefits start the first day of employment. 

This role is for an OR equipment handler. Cleans, decontaminates, prepares for use, and provide maintenance and repair for equipment. Ensures that an adequate level of supplies and equipment is available and ready for patient use.

Responsibilities:

Disassembles, cleans, and decontaminates equipment.
Reassembles, performs safety check and prepares equipment for use.
Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and maintains a maintenance log.
Performs diagnostic testing on equipment, including all types of standardized and specialty-use equipment. Assesses function, performs evaluations, and completes repairs.
Monitors and maintains the sterilization processes of all reusable equipment.
Orders supplies and stocks work areas to ensure adequate levels of supplies are available. Performs weekly inventory and orders supplies from outside vendors.
Acts as an educational resource for clinical staff regarding the mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical function of equipment.
Participates in the evaluation and ordering of capital equipment for the department.
Meets with vendors as needed to evaluate supplies and equipment for purchase.
Actively participates in Quality Assurance activities.
Performs related duties as required or assigned.


  1. Obtains case carts, supplies, and equipment needed for safe and efficient patient care. Checks emergency carts daily.
  2. Maintains anesthesia specialty carts, nerve block room, and Birthing Pavilion.
  3. Cleans, maintains, and sets up anesthesia equipment, including transducer set-ups, and airways scopes.
  4. Executes environmental cleaning processes for all Perioperative areas including procedural and non-procedural spaces, restricted and semi-restricted spaces and all equipment contained therein.
  5. Cleans and maintains equipment needed for specialty procedures.
  6. Prepares Operating Room (OR) table for various specialty procedures.
  7. Maintains nursing specialty carts, nursing sets, all OR and anesthesia supply areas, and suture carts.
  8. Performs daily calibrations on anesthesia laboratory equipment.
  9. Ensures availability of gas tanks and regulators for safe transfer of patients. Maintains supply of personal protective equipment.
  10. Ensures proper handling of sharps containers, soiled linen, recycling, and trash.
  11. Stocks and maintains assigned carts.
  12. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Anesthesia provider, positions patients for the administration of regional anesthesia and/or surgical procedures, participates in the transfer of patients to stretchers, beds, and/or operating room tables.
  13. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
  14. Resource for PeriOp Techs in the ASC.
  15. Maintain temp and humidity logs for the ASC.
  16. Responsible for logging and transporting specimens.
  17. In collaboration with the Manager, insuring proper scheduling of techs, daily assignments.
  18. Anticipate equipment/ disposable needs for upcoming surgical/ endoscopy cases.

  • High school diploma with 1 year of experience as a support tech in the hospital/ ASC environment.
  • Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and coordinate work in a high stress environment (which involves responding to emergency situations and tight schedules) required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  • BLS within 30 days
  • NH Medical Technician OR Tmp Medical Technician within 30 days
