Perinatal services are specialized healthcare services provided to women and their babies during the period shortly before, during, and after childbirth—typically from the 20th to 28th week of pregnancy up to one month after birth. These services include prenatal care, labor and delivery support, postpartum care, and newborn health services. The goal of perinatal services is to ensure the health and well-being of both the mother and baby by preventing complications, managing risk factors, and providing education and support.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Perinatal Services, and why are they important?

To thrive in Perinatal Services, you need expertise in maternal-fetal health, labor and delivery, and neonatal care, typically supported by a nursing or midwifery degree and relevant licensure or certification.
