Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Dallas is seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our nursing team. In this role, you'll provide high-quality behavioral health nursing care while working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team committed to improving the lives of children, adolescents, adults, and senior adults.

Position Summary
As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will provide direct patient care, perform nursing assessments, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Our nurses play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment where healing can begin.
Responsibilities
Patient Care
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in an inpatient behavioral health setting.
  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the treatment team.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Respond appropriately to psychiatric and medical emergencies.
  • Promote patient safety while maintaining a therapeutic environment.
Collaboration & Leadership
  • Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other clinical staff to coordinate care.
  • Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers.
  • Serve as a patient advocate while protecting patient rights and dignity.
  • Support and mentor fellow nursing staff as needed.
Qualifications
Required
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas or an active Compact RN License.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or inpatient mental health.
  • Experience working with pediatric or adolescent populations.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric assessment, crisis intervention, and behavioral health treatment.
Schedule
  • Full-time opportunities available
  • 12-hour shifts
    • Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
    • Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Weekend rotation required
