We are currently seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team.

Position Summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the hospital. This position helps ensure the safety and comfort of patients, visitors, and staff by following established cleaning, sanitation, and infection prevention standards.
Responsibilities
Daily Cleaning
  • Clean and sanitize patient rooms and treatment areas
  • Maintain cleanliness in offices, hallways, waiting areas, lobbies, and common spaces
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms and replenish supplies
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect assigned areas
  • Empty trash and dispose of waste according to hospital procedures
  • Follow all infection control and sanitation protocols
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed
Safety & Compliance
  • Safely operate and store housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following hospital safety policies
  • Report maintenance issues and safety concerns promptly
  • Assist with facility readiness for inspections and accreditation visits
Quality & Teamwork
  • Complete assigned cleaning schedules accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and support staff
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to perform physical housekeeping duties throughout the shift
Preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital, healthcare, or commercial setting
  • Knowledge of healthcare cleaning and infection prevention practices
  • Experience using commercial cleaning equipment
Physical Requirements
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequently bend, stoop, reach, and lift
  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds on a regular basis
  • Operate housekeeping equipment safely
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
