Registered Nurse (RN) – Intake (Full-Time, Night Shift)

Aurora Behavioral Health System – Glendale, AZ

Aurora Behavioral Health System, Arizona's largest free‑standing psychiatric hospital system, is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intake Department on the Mid-Shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and skilled nurse who wants to make a meaningful impact in behavioral health.

Position Overview

The Intake RN plays a key role in the admissions process, ensuring safe, accurate, and compassionate evaluation of incoming patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for incoming patients
  • Initiate and document individualized care plans
  • Provide professional nursing care in alignment with hospital policies and standards
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery expectations
  • Delegate tasks and supervise support staff
  • Collaborate with physicians, intake clinicians, and behavioral health teams to ensure high-quality care

Qualifications

  • ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program
  • Active Arizona RN license (required)
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Eligible for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card

Schedule & Work Setting

  • Full-Time
  • Mid Shift: Week 1 – Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 12pm to 1230am, Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday 12pm to 1230am. Rotates this way every other week.
  • On-site at our Glendale, AZ inpatient psychiatric hospital
