Job Description
Elevate the visual representation of the Guerlain brand in all point of sales across the U.S.
Visual Merchandising
Elevating and Enhancing the Guerlain Image
  • Elevate the Guerlain experience with enhanced merchandising elements and tools; including, event animation elements, counter animation elements, launch elements
  • Analyze current event elements and tools, and propose new solutions
  • Assist with marketing, and sales efforts at each retail location by designing, developing and customizing merchandising strategies and creating visual opportunities
  • Create a visual merchandising database with information on each department store doors
  • Partner with Paris HQ Visual Merchandising team to ensure global soft merchandising development meet the US market needs requirements

Visual Merchandising Training
  • Partner with the Guerlain Sales Field and provide training on design concepts, visual display standards, and the proper maintenance of the overall visual merchandising efforts
  • Provide on-the-job training to members of the store team in key flagship doors to actively support the visual merchandising efforts

Retailer Relationships
  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with retail partners
  • Create database of key contacts per retailer

Sephora
  • Partner with the marketing team and gondola vendor for the design and implementation of seasonal updates

Store Design
Partner with Paris HQ store design team to develop Guerlain flagship counters and freestanding stores and coordinate all project management aspects for construction and installation.
Specific responsibilities include:
  • Review all design and construction documents pertaining to each project
  • Partner with VP, Sales to obtain retailer approval for new and remodeled counters
  • Establish timetables and drive all parties to complete phases as scheduled
  • Coordinate bid process with Purchasing Department
  • Review shop drawings with Paris HQ store design team
  • Provide on-site construction supervision
  • Work with internal teams to provide proper merchandising elements for installations.
  • Coordinate all punch lists post-installation

Organizational Structure
  • Reports to: General Manager, US
  • Positions Supervised: 2 Managers & 1 Coordinator
  • Internal Partners: VP of Sales, Regional Sales Managers, VP of Marketing, Controller
  • External Partners: Paris HQ Visual Merchandising & Store Design team, Retail Partners' Visual Merchandising & Store Planning teams, Service Providers

Qualifications
  • 10+ yearsof visual merchandising and store design experience in a similar or related industry
  • Must possess strong analytical skills, good oral and written presentation skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCad Exhibit a keen ability to be proactive as well as handle a multitude of projects at one time
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; hands-on professional
  • Should be a strategic leader and excellent team player
  • Architecture, industrial or interior design degree required
