Job description

IT Testing Engineer II

About the Position: The IT Testing Engineer II will execute performance testing on multiple different applications and lines of business. Performance testing includes gathering test requirements, preparing a detailed Test Strategy Plan, developing and executing test scripts, preparing results reports, and updating defect tickets.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements and scenarios from Development Team, Business Analyst and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Project Management Team during design phase. 
  • Prepare detailed Performance Test Strategy Plan document.
  • Develop and execute scripts in JMeter/VSTS. 
  • Capture requests through JMeter/Fiddler/BlazeMeter extension based on the application configuration and environment.
  • Customize the scripts using JavaScript/Groovy based on the application functionality to simulate load test.
  • Execute SQL queries for bulk test data and update them accordingly.
  • Perform dry run to determine new baseline under low-load and compare against high-load.
  • Execute Component, Endurance testing for new API services and Load Testing for end-to-end Web application.
  • Monitor tests and troubleshoot the application issues using AppDynamics.
  • Monitor the heap and non-heap memory, thread activities(deadlocks) for JVM on Out of Memory Issue.
  • Work closely with both the system management and software development teams to identify root causes of issues and performance improvements.
  • Work on ADO and JIRA for defects. 
  • Prepare Performance Final Summary Executive report for the conducted load test.
  • Develop, update and maintain quality testing standards and procedures. 
  • Communicate effectively with customers and software vendors as appropriate. 
  • Follow standard testing methodology frameworks.
  • Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing efforts. 
  • Preparation of Defect Status Reports and Daily/Weekly Status Reports.
  • Triage and solve complex problems using structured troubleshooting methodologies. 
  • Work independently as well as work collaboratively in a team environment. 


Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 8 years of experience within quality assurance and performance testing sectors. 
  • Experience with AppDynamics, Load Runner (HTTP/AJAX TruClient/RDP Protocol), Neo Load (Web and API services), Apache JMeter (Web and API services), Fiddler, BlazeMeter, VSTS, JavaScript.
  • Ability to design, develop, test and debug tests cases/Scripts/plans/strategy documents. 
  • Knowledge of Health Insurance Industry - Claims processing, PBM, ICD 10, NCPDP, CMS, Medicare, or Medicaid. 
  • Solid experience in writing SQL statements for data validations.
  • Knowledge of MS Azure DevOps, Jira, or other defect management systems.
  • Document and interpret business and technical requirements for testing utilizing various development methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Iterative, Waterfall, etc.) 
  • Extensive experience in Test Management tools building Test Plans and Test Cases using MS Excel and Azure DevOps (VSTS).
  • Effective communication skills to articulate testing result data to multiple audiences. 
  • Working knowledge of industry standard automated testing tools, practices, and software and/or Performance testing tools. 
  • Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients and team members.

Pay Transparency Laws in some locations require disclosure of compensation and/or benefits-related information.  For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $69,300 - $90,000.
