We are seeking a Commissioning & Lifecycle Performance Engineerwith strong experience in healthcareand missioncritical datacenter environments. This role focuses on improving energy performance, system reliability, and operational resilienceacross the full lifecycle of building systems.

You will support existing clients by delivering highlevel technical solutions, diagnosing complex system issues, optimizing sequence of operations, and ensuring wholebuilding systems operate efficiently and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

Energy Performance & Optimization

  • Identify energysaving opportunities through system analytics, trend reviews, and field assessments.
  • Evaluate and optimize sequence of operations, control strategies, and equipment scheduling to reduce energy consumption without compromising reliability.
  • Conduct retrocommissioning and continuous commissioning activities to improve longterm building performance.
  • Provide clients with actionable recommendations for energy conservation measures (ECMs) and system upgrades.

Reliability & MissionCritical Support

  • Ensure high reliability of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems in healthcare and datacenter environments.
  • Perform rootcause analysis for equipment failures, control issues, and operational disruptions.
  • Support clients in developing redundancy strategies, risk mitigation plans, and reliabilitycentered maintenance approaches.
  • Validate system readiness for critical operations, including emergency power, chilledwater systems, and environmental control systems.

Advanced Troubleshooting & Technical Solutions

  • Diagnose complex issues involving HVAC, electrical distribution, emergency power, chilledwater plants, and BAS/BMS controls.
  • Troubleshoot sequence of operations, control logic, and system interactions to resolve performance gaps.
  • Analyze trend data, alarms, and system logs to identify inefficiencies, failures, or operational risks.
  • Provide highlevel technical guidance to facility teams, operators, and maintenance staff.

Lifecycle Services & Client Partnership

  • Serve as a longterm technical advisor to clients, supporting systems from initial commissioning through ongoing operation.
  • Conduct periodic system health assessments and performance reviews.
  • Support capital planning by identifying aging equipment, performance risks, and upgrade opportunities.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and consistent delivery of value.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare clear, detailed reports summarizing findings, energy impacts, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of system performance, service activities, and lifecycle recommendations.
  • Support compliance with healthcare and datacenter standards, including documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experiencein commissioning, building automation, or lifecycle services.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, emergency power, chilledwater plants, and BAS/BMS controls.
  • Proven ability to identify energysaving opportunities and optimize system performance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex, multisystem issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical issues into clear guidance for clients.

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare facilities (hospitals, labs, surgical suites) and missioncritical data centers.
  • Retrocommissioning, monitoringbased commissioning, or analyticsdriven optimization.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE commissioning guidelines, NFPA codes, and healthcare compliance standards.
  • Experience with reliability engineering or missioncritical operations.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $88,600 - $121,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
