Job description

We are building AI to simulate the world through merging art and science.
We believe that world models are at the frontier of progress in artificial intelligence. Language models alone won't solve the world's hardest problems - robotics, disease, scientific discovery. Real progress requires models that experience the world and learn from their mistakes, the same way that humans do. And this kind of trial and error can be massively accelerated when done in simulation, rather than in the real world.
World models offer the most clear path to general-purpose simulation, changing how stories are told, how scientific progress is made and how the next frontiers of humanity are reached.
Our team consists of creative, open minded, caring and ambitious people who are determined to change the world. We aspire to continuously build impossible things and our ability to do so relies on building an incredible team. If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.
About the role
*Open to hiring remote across the US - we also have offices in New York, San Francisco, Seattle, London, Paris, and Tel Aviv.
We are hiring a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own and improve how Runway communicates with users across email and other lifecycle channels. This person will be responsible for building, executing, and optimizing campaigns that help users get more value from Runway, including onboarding, activation, product education, feature adoption, retention, monetization, and re-engagement. This person understands how lifecycle marketing supports both user experience and business outcomes, and you can turn product updates, audience insights, and performance data into clear, effective campaigns.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is both strategic and executional. You should be comfortable writing briefs, building segments, coordinating campaign execution, analyzing performance, and identifying opportunities to improve the user journey. You will work closely with growth, product marketing, product, and creative teams to make sure the right users receive the right messages at the right moments.
What you'll do
  • Own the day-to-day execution and optimization of Runway's lifecycle marketing programs, with an initial focus on email
  • Build, QA, schedule, and launch lifecycle campaigns across onboarding, activation, product education, feature adoption, retention, re-engagement, and monetization
  • Partner with product marketing and product teams to translate launches, product updates, and new capabilities into clear lifecycle campaigns
  • Develop audience segments based on channels, user behavior, lifecycle stage, product usage, plan type, persona, and engagement
  • Analyze campaign performance and share clear recommendations on what is working, what is not, and what should be tested next
  • Run A/B tests across messaging, subject lines, creative, segmentation, timing, cadence, and calls to action
  • Partner with creative and content teams to brief assets needed for lifecycle campaigns
  • Work with growth and data teams to improve reporting around email performance, activation, retention, conversion, and downstream business impact
  • Support lifecycle communications around product launches, feature releases, events, community initiatives, creator programs, and key marketing moments

What We're Looking For
  • 3-6 years of experience in lifecycle marketing, CRM, email marketing, growth marketing, or a related role
  • Experience building and executing email or lifecycle campaigns in a fast-moving consumer, prosumer, SaaS, marketplace, creative, or technology environment
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing fundamentals, including onboarding, activation, retention, re-engagement, monetization, segmentation, and experimentation
  • Hands-on experience with email, CRM, lifecycle, or marketing automation tools
  • Comfort working with user segments, campaign logic, behavioral triggers, and performance reporting
  • Ability to analyze campaign performance and translate data into clear recommendations
  • Strong project management skills and comfort managing multiple campaigns, stakeholders, timelines, and dependencies at once

Runway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team. Our salary ranges are based on competitive market rates for our size, stage and industry, and salary is just one part of the overall compensation package we provide.
There are many factors that go into salary determinations, including relevant experience, skill level and qualifications assessed during the interview process, and maintaining internal equity with peers on the team. The range shared below is a general expectation for the function as posted, but we are also open to considering candidates who may be more or less experienced than outlined in the job description. In this case, we will communicate any updates in the expected salary range.
Lastly, the provided range is the expected salary for candidates in the U.S. Outside of those regions, there may be a change in the range, which again, will be communicated to candidates.
