Job description

A Brief Overview

The Manager, Performance Marketing will focus on Safelite's performance media channel acquisition strategy, focusing on driving consumers down the funnel to drive conversion through our direct response programs in paid search, traditional organic search, answer engine optimization organic search, and affiliate. This role manages and executes activities including AEO, SEO, SEM and affiliate day-to-day account management, optimization, and maintenance. They will work in tandem with our media agency and internal analytics and finance teams to analyze performance of the campaigns and provide recommendations for improvement. Additionally, this role partners closely with the product and IT teams for Safelite.com implementation and improvement for SEO/AEO activities. This role is responsible for vendor management and success across several partners including but not limited to Yelp, Yext, Yotpo, BrightEdge, Profound and Microsoft Advertising Services.

Expected Work Location (In Office)

It is expected that you will primarily perform work at the Safelite Home Office (7400 Safelite Way, Columbus, OH 43235). You are required to work in the office at least 4 days a week. Changes to work location arrangements are subject to managerial approval and business needs.

What you will do
  • Lead, own and plan the SEO program through strategic initiatives, technical updates, content additions or updates and local management. Update key stakeholders and cross-functional partners on improvements and/or setbacks.
  • Plan, execute, and lead reputation management for Safelite’s owned properties (e.g. Google, Yelp, Yotpo ratings and reviews)
  • Own and manage Safelite's vendor relationships with Microsoft reps, BrightEdge, Yext and Yelp
  • Grow and optimize paid search program through standard optimizations and innovative testing, including structure, bidding, ad creative, landing page tests, Google betas, etc
  • Lead, own and plan the affiliate marketing program through standard and innovative testing, including partner acquisition, ad creative/media type, payout structures, etc.
  • Partner with internal and external analytics teams to assess channel success and impact on business. Identify and report against identified key performance indicators.
  • Build, own and manage paid search, SEO and affiliate roadmaps.
  • Lead and mentor a small team, fostering curiosity, collaboration and professional growth. Establish clear expectations, review performance and support development.
  • Collaborate with internal product and development teams on larger CMS updates, page structure changes, additions and tests
  • Proactively look for expansion & optimization opportunities on a regular basis and stay current in the channels’ landscapes and make innovative recommendations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing local listings in Google Business Profiles, Yext, or a related platform
  • Familiarity in landing page optimization and A/B testing methodologies
  • 1-3 years of people leadership experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications or business
  • HTML coding experience

  • Knowledge of paid search, organic and affiliate channel best practices
  • Proven track record of delivering qualified conversion traffic and media budget management
  • Strong analytics skills with the ability to drive meaningful action from large data sets and present insights
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and successfully communicate analytic results, insights, and resulting business implications to non-technical business partners
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for staying current with digital marketing trends and emerging technologies, eager to apply new techniques and tools to enhance performance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
  • Google Certified – knowledge and experience with relevant media tools such as Google Analytics, SA360, affiliate marketing partners and platforms and Google search console
  • Ensures Accountability - Holds self and others accountable to achieving results. This involves setting clear goals, monitoring progress, and addressing performance issues promptly.
  • Ability to lead and develop a team, providing ongoing guidance and support and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
