Job description

We are seeking a Performance Marketing Lead who thrives at the intersection of hands-on execution and strategic ownership. This role is for a builder, with entrepreneurial spirit, someone who can write the copy, launch campaigns, analyze performance, and hold partners accountable across the full paid and social ecosystem.
This role owns all performance-driven marketing, including paid and organic social media, SEM/PPC, OTT/CTV, display, paid and lifecycle email, while overseeing external agencies and leading a small internal team.
This role is accountable for results, efficiency, and scalable growth.
Hands-On Execution (Core Expectation)
  • Write, test, and optimize high-converting copy and creative direction for:
    • Paid and organic social media
    • Paid and lifecycle email campaigns
    • Display, retargeting, and OTT/CTV ads
  • Build, launch, and optimize campaigns directly across:
    • Social media platforms
    • Email marketing platforms
  • Develop hooks, messaging frameworks, CTAs, and offer strategies aligned to conversion goals
  • Rapidly test creative, audience segments, formats, and channels to improve ROAS and CAC

Social Media Marketing Ownership (Paid + Organic)
  • Own end-to-end social media marketing strategy, including:
    • Paid social performance
    • Organic social content strategy and publishing
    • Channel growth, engagement, and brand consistency
  • Ensure social content supports acquisition, retargeting, and lifecycle efforts
  • Align social storytelling with performance goals and campaign calendars

Paid Media, OTT & Channel Ownership
  • Own day-to-day performance across:
    • Paid Social
    • OTT / CTV advertising
  • Define channel strategy, testing roadmaps, and budget allocation
  • Partner with analytics and leadership to assess incrementality and efficiency

Oversee Agency Performance
    • SEM / PPC (Google Ads, Bing)

Agency & Vendor Oversight
  • Serve as the primary owner of all paid media agencies:
    • Set strategy, goals, and performance expectations
    • Review campaigns, creative, and performance weekly
    • Push agencies beyond reporting into active optimization and testing
  • Ensure agency work complements-not replaces-internal execution
  • Recommend when to scale, pause, or reallocate spend across channels

Internal Team Leadership & Partner Oversight
  • Lead and mentor a lean internal marketing team
  • Marketing Mentorship for affiliate, widget, and ad-based partnerships:
    • Performance tracking
    • Optimization opportunities
    • Messaging alignment
    • Display & Re-targeting
  • Create clarity around ownership between internal resources, agencies, and partners
  • Establish lightweight processes that scale without adding friction

Performance, Reporting & Optimization
  • Own performance KPIs, including:
    • ROAS, CAC, CPA, LTV
    • Conversion rates across the funnel
    • Incrementality by channel
  • Translate insights into clear actions and recommendations
  • Deliver concise, executive-ready performance updates

What Success Looks Like (First 6-12 Months)
  • Paid and social channels show measurable efficiency and scale
  • Social media functions as both a brand and performance engine
  • OTT/CTV delivers clear, measurable value within the media mix
  • Agencies and partners are accountable and high-performing
  • Affiliate and widget programs are optimized and contributing incremental revenue
  • Leadership has confidence in channel performance and growth strategy

Requirements
Required
  • 5+ years in performance or growth marketing lead or equivalent
  • Proven experience writing and optimizing conversion-focused copy for paid media and email
  • Hands-on experience with:

  • Strong working knowledge of SEM/PPC and OTT/CTV
  • Experience managing agencies and small, high-impact teams
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical instincts

Preferred
  • Experience in travel, e-commerce, marketplaces, or high-intent consumer products
  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing, widgets, and partner-driven acquisition
  • Experience with CRO, landing-page optimization, and attribution models

Why This Role Matters

You will define how performance marketing operates across paid, social, affiliates, and partners while remaining hands-on where it matters most. This role has direct impact on revenue, efficiency, and growth velocity.
