Responsibilities
Effective Date: 06/26
I. JOB SUMMARY:
• Plans, coordinates implements and evaluates performance improvement activities in accordance with department's goals and objectives and mission of The Queen's Medical Center (QMC) and The Queen's Health Systems (QHS).
• Serves as a key resource to medical staff, clinical programs, and operational departments by applying evidence based methodologies, data driven analysis, and structured improvement frameworks to support regulatory compliance, optimize care delivery, and enhance patient outcomes. Coordinates implements and facilitates key clinical performance improvement efforts including, but not limited to: disease management, peer review, quality and focus studies outcomes projects and research.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a health care profession, engineering, or biology.
• Master's degree in a health care related field preferred.
B. CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Current licensure as a clinical professional, e.g., nursing, physician assistant, physical therapist, occupational therapist, etc preferred.
• Certification from the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ), or in Six Sigma, Lean, or related quality disciplines preferred.
C. EXPERIENCE:
• Two (2) years licensed clinical experience, preferably in an acute care setting, or in performance improvement or process engineering within healthcare or medical device quality systems.
• Experience with statistical analysis, data visualization, and performance dashboards.
• Demonstrated experience with word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Minitab, SQL based tools, and database systems preferred.
• Experience in root cause analysis, FMEA, CAPA, and cross functional project leadership strongly preferred.
