Job description

A Day in the Life of the Director, Performance Assurance

The Director of Performance Assurance leads the governance and reporting of residential sales performance across the organization, ensuring consistent measurement, visibility, and accountability for business results. This role analyzes performance across channels, markets, and products; identifies trends and performance gaps; and drives disciplined action planning to achieve revenue, customer, and operational objectives. Through data-driven insights and executive-level reporting, this position enables informed decision-making and continuous performance improvement across the business. This is a hybrid performance management and executive communication role: equal parts analyst and operator. Review results across all residential sales channels and all regions against objectives, identifying under and over performance. Perform variance and gap analysis exercises to diagnose why a channel or market is off plan, identify root causes of performance variances and connect operational drivers to financial and customer outcomes. Ensure credible gap plans are developed when targets are missed, with clear actions, owners, and timelines assigned to accountable leaders, and track progress through closure while escalating stalled actions as needed. Consolidate cross-functional inputs into a single narrative for communication to leadership as needed. Translate complex data into a clear deliverable leadership can take action on to improve business outcomes. Maintain standardized reporting definitions and performance metrics to ensure consistency and reliability across the organization. Partner with regional and channel leaders, Finance, and Sales Strategy to align targets, forecasts, and remediation efforts to ensure success of the channel. Actively support, promote, and advance all aspects of Astound's Inclusion and Belonging work, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard, and empowered. Other duties as assigned.
