Performance/Data Analyst III

Location: Washington, DC Metro Area
Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance (Top Secret/SCI eligible preferred)

Overview

Strategic Technology Institute (STi) is seeking experienced Performance/Data Analyst III professionals to support the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management Division (JMD), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in support of the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF).

This position supports high-priority interagency law enforcement and investigative operations through advanced analytics, data integration, statistical reporting, dashboard development, and Management Information System (MIS) support.

Candidates will work with complex investigative and operational datasets from multiple federal agencies including DOJ, FBI, DEA, HSI, ATF, IRS-CI, and USAOs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain advanced Tableau dashboards and visual analytics products
  • Build and execute SQL, Python, and R queries for data extraction and analysis
  • Perform statistical analysis, trend analysis, and performance measurement reporting
  • Develop predictive models and analytical tools supporting investigative prioritization
  • Conduct data integration and ETL activities across interagency systems
  • Produce reports, graphs, charts, and executive-level briefings
  • Analyze investigative outcomes, asset seizure/forfeiture metrics, and operational performance indicators
  • Support quarterly and ad hoc reporting requirements for DOJ leadership and congressional stakeholders
  • Conduct data quality audits and recommend process improvements
  • Maintain data dictionaries, schemas, and transformation documentation
  • Support automated reporting and workflow optimization initiatives
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3+ years of applied data analytics/data science experience
  • Strong proficiency with:
    • Python
    • SQL
    • Tableau
    • Microsoft Excel
    • R (preferred)
  • Experience working with large datasets and statistical analysis
  • Experience developing dashboards and data visualizations
  • Ability to communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting DOJ, DHS, DoD, or other federal law enforcement environments
  • Experience with investigative or intelligence-related datasets
  • Experience with machine learning or predictive analytics
  • Top Secret or TS/SCI eligibility preferred
  • Experience with ETL pipeline development and data governance
