Roles and Responsibilities

Lead the Buy Happy sales team through the sales process - including customer follow-up, customer escalations, assisting in customer concerns and managing Sales Consultant performance. Planning and developing short and long-term goals and objectives annually. Responsible for driving profitability in the front-end operations - meeting monthly volume and gross profit goals. Work with manufacturers on incentive programs, rebate schedules, and maintaining a balanced vehicle inventory. Assisting the GM in the facilitation of sales meetings, provide on-the-job-training to Sales Consultants, and coordinate vehicle deliveries with the Service Manager. Paying close attention to daily operations, recommending and creating improved courses of action where necessary. Playing an active role in recruitment, interviewing, selection and development of the Buy Happy selling team. Maintaining an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee attitudes and morale. Explaining the policies and procedures of the dealership to all employees and holding employees accountable to said policies and procedures. Partnering with the finance office to develop and coordinate best practices for the most efficient and effective sales approach. Creating a good working relationship with lending institutions and manufacturer personnel and maintaining those relationships. Focusing on any customer complaints that department managers are unable to rectify and taking the necessary steps to resolve these complaints.
