FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION

KTVU FOX 2 is seeking individuals that have a respect for journalism and want to be part of the station's best in class reporting, both in front of the camera and behind the scenes! We are looking for a Per Diem Broadcast Technician. Come be a part of a winning team with a diverse culture that believes in supporting, mentoring, and training our staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operating in Master Control, the Technical Operations Center, and Ingest. Master Control automation experience a must with an emphasis on switching live sports.
Ensuring compliance with FCC regulations related to closed captioning, EAS, transmitters, text-to-speech, and the CALM Act. Live news experience is also a must to include tuning in live shots via microwave, satellite, and bonded cellular. Other duties include commercial and program ingest and segmentation as well as quality control of on-air signal. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts that may include nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Other duties as deemed appropriate and necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
The ability to work under tight timelines and high stress while maintaining an exceptional on-air product. Basic technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to properly communicate issues to the Maintenance Engineers and supervisors. Computer hardware, software, and networking experience and the ability to quickly learn new applications and workflows. Must work well with others in and out of the Engineering department and be able to communicate clearly in writing as well as in person.
Two years of college or technical school and two years of related experience preferred.
