Librarians usually need a master's degree in library science, but support roles are accessible to those without formal librarian credentials.

What is the highest paying library job?

These roles often require advanced degrees, such as a master's in library science, and offer salaries significantly higher than entry-level positions like library assistants or clerks.

Is AI replacing librarians?

AI is not replacing librarians, including those working in small town libraries. Instead, AI tools are used to assist with cataloging, information retrieval, and data management, allowing librarians to focus more on community engagement and personalized services. The role of librarians continues to evolve with technology, but human expertise remains essential for providing context, critical thinking, and user support.
