Job description

A retail pharmacy associated with a hospital in Fleming, Colorado is seeking a dedicated pharmacist for per diem coverage from August 24th through August 28th. This opportunity offers a hands-on role where you will be the sole pharmacist on site, managing the pharmacy's daily operations and ensuring excellent patient care in a close-knit setting.
Responsibilities:

  • Counsel patients on medication use and safety
  • Accurately fill and dispense prescriptions
  • Perform final verifications on all dispensed medications
  • Manage pharmacy operations independently during your shift
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to maintain workflow and service quality
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • 1-hour lunch break
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Active and clear Colorado pharmacist license
  • Recent experience as a pharmacist preferred
  • New graduates are welcome to apply, provided they meet licensing requirements
  • Comfortable working independently as the sole pharmacist on site
Additional Information:
  • The pharmacy dispenses approximately 500 prescriptions weekly
  • The team includes 2 full-time pharmacy technicians and a PRN pharmacist who is rarely on site
  • Housing may be available onsite through the hospital depending on availability; alternatively, hotel accommodations can be arranged
