Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care on a Medical and Pediatrics (MAP) unit — travelers are not assigned pediatric patients
  • Manage adult patients presenting with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, infectious disease, and acute alcohol withdrawal
  • Float to all inpatient units as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
  • Collaborate with team members and ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhere to facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccination during flu season
Required Qualifications
  • Active Wisconsin RN License
  • BLS certification through AHA or ARC
  • Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
  • Availability for every weekend shift and every other holiday

  • Trauma Level II experience highly preferred
