Job description

Status: Occasional

Shift: Varies

The Emergency Department is a fast paced-dynamic department with a highly experienced team. The staff consist of physicians, registered nurses, technicians and health unit coordinators who are close knit and work exceptionally well together. ED Techs provide assistance to the Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse with the provision of care for ED patients. Follows written and verbal instructions of the Charge Registered Nurse.

The department has over 10,000 visits a year and holds Time Sensitive Emergency designations in Trauma, Stroke and STEMI through the State of Idaho. Bonner General also participates in the tele-stroke program through Sacred Heart.

The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is looking for a challenging, yet exciting career, caring for a broad span of illness and injury. We are looking to add quick thinking, technically savvy people who can handle a rapid environment fueled by a steady drip of adrenaline and a periodic bolus of the unexpected.
