Wage Range: $48.21 - $87.11 per hour
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity
EvergreenHealth is pleased to offer our PER DIEM Hospice RN's option and choice when it comes to their work assignment. We believe that creating a tiered system for our per diem RNs allows for flexibility and balance, honoring the employee's desire to work while balancing given business needs. See below for details. Further information will be provided at time of interview.
Tier 1 Per Diem RN
  • Work 5 days per month, including
  • 2 weekend days included in the 5-day minimum
  • 17% hourly premium

Tier 2 Per Diem RN
  • Work 7 days per month, including
  • 3 weekend days included in the 7-day minimum
  • Availability for 1 holiday annually (paid)
  • 20% hourly premium

As an RN with our Hospice Care Center, you maintain the following primary duties:
  1. Provide direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
  2. Assess the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
  3. Coordinate the patient and family/significant other education process.
  4. Continuously plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
  5. Participate with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
  6. Communicate effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
  7. Communicate and document changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned

License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
  • Graduate of a nursing program (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required)
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire

DESIRED for the position: Master's degree in Nursing
