Medlivo is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Tacoma, Washington.

Minimum 2+ years recent ICU/PCU RN experience required / CERTIFICATIONS โ€“ ACLS (AHA) and BLS required; COVID vaccination required / LICENSE โ€“ Active RN License required (WA license pending accepted) / Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, 36 hrs/week, 13 weeks (7:00 AMโ€“7:00 PM, Every Other Weekend) / Setting: Acute Care โ€“ ICU/PCU Float Pool / EMR: EPIC / Skills: Critical care nursing, hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, ICU-level drips, telemetry interpretation, emergency response, and care of complex medical-surgical and critical care patients required / Unit Details: 82 critical care beds (48 ICU, 34 PCU) across 3 floors; ICU ratios 1:1โ€“1:2, PCU ratios 1:3 / Common Diagnoses: All critical care diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, cardiac conditions, and other high-acuity medical patients / Drips: ICU-level vasoactive and critical care drips; PCU drips include Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin (no pressors in PCU) / Equipment: Ventilators in ICU; no vents in PCU / Support Staff: Charge Nurse on each floor, Nurse Aides, IV Team, RT and Pharmacy available 24/7, Intensivist support with virtual ICU coverage overnight / Floating: Primarily assigned to St. Joseph Medical Center; must float between ICU and PCU and throughout Region Two facilities as needed (St. Joseph Medical Center โ€“ Tacoma, St. Clare Hospital โ€“ Lakewood, and St. Elizabeth Hospital โ€“ Enumclaw) / Orientation: Minimum 2 shifts to 1 week with educator support / Additional: Travelers are not required to manage IABP or CRRT unless previously experienced. Seeking strong ICU/PCU nurses comfortable with high-acuity patient populations, ICU-level drips, and regional floating requirements.
