Job description

The Role We Need:
PadSplit is seeking a Senior Product Owner (Mobile) to lead the development, optimization, and delivery of features across our mobile app experience. This role will partner closely with engineering, design, data, and operations teams to prioritize work, align stakeholders, and drive measurable impact for both members and hosts. The ideal candidate will help shape a unified product roadmap, translate business objectives into actionable requirements, and ensure teams are delivering high-quality, data-informed outcomes that improve user experience and business performance.
The Person We Are Looking For:
We're looking for a highly organized, metrics-oriented product professional who combines strong execution with thoughtful product judgment. You are comfortable operating across both strategy and delivery, able to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and maintain alignment across cross-functional teams. You are customer-focused, collaborative, data curious, and proactive in identifying opportunities to improve user experience, operational efficiency, and overall product outcomes. Experience working on mobile applications, marketplace products, or operationally complex systems is strongly preferred.
Here's What You'll Be Doing Day-to-Day:
  • Own Mobile Roadmap: Manage the product backlog, define priorities, write user stories, and ensure engineering teams have clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Drive Product Delivery: Partner closely with engineering and design to scope, plan, test, and launch high-impact product initiatives across mobile and web experiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, support, analytics, marketing, and business stakeholders to ensure product initiatives align with company goals and user needs.
  • Prioritize with Data: Use analytics, experimentation, customer feedback, and operational insights to prioritize features and improvements that drive measurable impact.
  • Champion the User: Advocate for both members and hosts by identifying friction points, validating assumptions, and improving the overall user experience.
  • Lead Agile Processes: Facilitate sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, and retrospectives while maintaining strong alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Measure and Optimize: Monitor KPIs related to engagement, retention, activation, conversion, operational efficiency, and product performance to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Experiment and Iterate: Support and execute product experiments, A/B tests, and iterative improvements that help validate ideas and accelerate learning.
  • Improve Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce friction, and improve scalability across internal and external product experiences.

Here's What You'll Need to Be Successful:
  • Proven Experience: 6+ years of experience in Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar product delivery roles, ideally within a mobile, marketplace, or B2C environments.
  • Mobile Product Experience: Experience working on mobile applications with a strong understanding of mobile user behavior, usability, and product delivery cycles.
  • Agile & Delivery Expertise: Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies with experience managing product backlogs and working closely with engineering teams.
  • Metrics Orientation: Comfortable working with product metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and experimentation frameworks to drive prioritization and decision-making.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable product recommendations and tradeoff decisions.
  • Execution Excellence: Track record of successfully shipping products and features from concept through launch, iteration, and optimization.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams around priorities and outcomes.
  • Product Judgment: Demonstrated ability to balance user needs, business priorities, technical constraints, and operational realities in decision-making.
  • Tools & Systems Familiarity: Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Firebase, GA4, or similar product and analytics platforms.
  • Ownership Mentality: Highly organized, proactive, and accountable with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

The Interview Process:
  • Your application will be reviewed for possible next steps by a human being in the PeopleOps department.
  • If you meet eligibility requirements, the next step would be a phone call with a member of the PeopleOps team for about thirty (30) minutes.
  • If warranted, the next step would be a video interview with our Head of Product for forty-five (45) minutes.
  • If warranted, the next step would be a video interview with a small panel of key stakeholders for one (1) hour. For this interview, a candidate would participate in a mini-case exercise to the panel for discussion.
  • If warranted, the final step would be a video panel interview with additional stakeholders for two (2) hours. For this interview, a candidate would participate in a maxi-case exercise to the panel for discussion.
  • If warranted, then we move to offer!

$55,000 - $70,000 a year
Compensation is based on the role's scope, market benchmarks, the person's expertise and experience, and the impact of their contributions to our business goals. This would be a direct contract with PadSplit, and invoices are paid out twice a month.
