Job description

Juniper is Growing! We are seeking an Operation Manager for our Landscape Maintenance teams. The Operations Manager oversees day-to-day field operations within the Maintenance business unit, ensuring crews are properly resourced, work is executed on schedule, and quality standards are met across all service agreements. This role is responsible for managing a team of Production Managers, driving operational consistency, and serving as the key link between field execution and branch leadership. The Operations Manager is accountable for crew productivity, resource utilization, service quality, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily field operations across assigned service areas, ensuring crews are deployed efficiently and work is completed on schedule and within scope.
• Monitor and evaluate crew productivity, labor utilization, and operational performance, taking corrective action when production targets or quality standards are not met.
• Oversee the development and management of crew schedules, route assignments, and equipment allocation to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Manage and resolve customer service tickets to address service complaints, ensuring timely resolution, and closing tickets in the customer service portal.
• Serve as an escalation point for field issues, customer concerns, and crew conflicts, resolving problems quickly to maintain service continuity and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee job site quality by conducting regular site visits and inspections, ensuring work meets contract specifications and the Company's service standards.
• Track operational metrics, labor hours, and job costs, providing regular reporting to the Branch Manager and identifying opportunities to improve margins and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available and ready to support production schedules.
• Enforce company policies, procedures, and standards in the field, addressing non-compliance promptly and consistently.
• Support estimating and renewal processes by providing field-level input on job scope, labor requirements, and production rates.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Landscape Management, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role.
• Demonstrated experience managing field crews or production teams, including scheduling, performance management, and labor oversight.
• Working knowledge of landscape maintenance operations, including turf, irrigation, horticulture, and seasonal services.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, field-based environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively share information across teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in computer and technology skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and industry-specific software.
• Must possess a valid US driver's license (or equivalent) and meet Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) verification requirements.
