You'll be the goโ€‘to HR person for everything from onboarding a new hire on their first day to administering benefits, managing our HRIS, and ensuring we stay compliant across a range of federal, state, and local regulations.

This role is fullโ€‘time and inโ€‘person 5x a week in our downtown Miami office. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire. This position is not eligible for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

  • Benefits Administration: Manage the dayโ€‘toโ€‘day administration of employee benefits programs, including open enrollment, vendor relationships, and employee questions.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers, addressing questions and concerns, investigating and resolving workplace issues, and fostering a positive, respectful work environment.
  • Performance Reviews: Own the performance review process endโ€‘toโ€‘end, including calendar management, manager and employee enablement, and process improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure company policies and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain required postings, filings, and recordkeeping; manage required employee training such as Harassment Prevention Training, and keep the employee handbook current.
  • 401(k) Administration: Manage the company's 401(k) program, including enrollment, contributions, compliance testing, and vendor coordination.
  • EOR Management (Oyster): Serve as the primary point of contact for our Employer of Record partner (Oyster), managing international employee onboarding, payroll coordination, and compliance for global team members.
  • Leave of Absence: Administer all leave of absence programs (FMLA, stateโ€‘specific leave, personal leave, etc.), ensuring compliant and empathetic handling from request through return to work.
  • ACA Reporting: Own annual ACA compliance and reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely filings.
Minimum Paw-lifications
  • 5+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience, with broad exposure across the employee lifecycle (recruiting experience not required).
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, and benefits administration.
  • Handsโ€‘on experience with HRIS platforms and a comfort level with HR systems and data.
  • Familiarity with EOR platforms (Oyster or similar) and managing international employees.
  • Experience with leave of absence, ACA reporting and 401(k) plan administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and sound judgment.
Purr-furred Paw-lifications
  • Experience administering compensation plans and workers' compensation programs.
  • Highly organized, detailโ€‘oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fastโ€‘paced environment.
  • A collaborative, solutionsโ€‘oriented mindset and a genuine passion for creating a great employee experience.

  • Catered breakfast and lunch daily
  • Monthly Wellness Stipend, and credits for both Wag! and maxbone
  • Life Insurance and Short- and Longโ€‘term Disability with Guardian
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan with Empower and employer match as defined by plan
  • 11 companyโ€‘paid holidays each year
  • Flexible (no set limit) discretionary paid time off in accordance with the vacation policy outlined in our handbook and subject to your managerโ€™s approval
  • Employees are eligible for paid parental leave, up to 8 weeks for nonโ€‘birthing parents and 14โ€‘16 weeks for birthing parents
