Overview

A fast growing, private company is seeking a People Operations Manager to help build and scale a best in class employee experience while serving as a strategic partner to business leaders. This role combines People Operations, Human Resources Business Partner, and HR Operations responsibilities, balancing strategic initiatives with hands on execution across the full employee lifecycle.


The People Operations Manager will lead initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, optimize HR processes, improve data integrity, and create scalable programs that support a growing business. This individual will partner closely with leaders across the organization to drive people strategy while owning day to day HR operations, systems, reporting, and employee experience initiatives.


The ideal candidate is equally comfortable coaching leaders, analyzing HR data, improving operational workflows, and executing high quality HR programs in a collaborative, fast paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business leaders to provide strategic guidance on employee relations, performance management, organizational development, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders by coaching through employee matters, policy interpretation, performance challenges, and organizational changes while ensuring compliance with employment laws and company practices.
  • Own and continuously improve People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, promotions, organizational changes, performance reviews, compensation cycles, and employee communications.
  • Manage and optimize HR systems, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, process consistency, and system adoption across the organization.
  • Administer and optimize the company's Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System, including workflow design, reporting, interview processes, hiring analytics, recruiter and hiring manager training, and continuous process improvement.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to improve recruiting operations, hiring manager experience, interview processes, and candidate experience.
  • Develop HR dashboards, reporting, and workforce analytics that provide meaningful insights into hiring, retention, turnover, engagement, performance, and organizational trends.
  • Leverage advanced Excel and HR analytics to identify opportunities, support business decisions, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead HR operations strategy by evaluating existing processes, identifying inefficiencies, implementing scalable solutions, documenting procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular HR audits to maintain the integrity of employee records, HRIS data, organizational structures, compensation data, and compliance documentation.
  • Support companywide initiatives including performance management, compensation planning, employee engagement, learning and development, change management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner cross functionally with Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to ensure seamless execution of people processes and operational excellence.
  • Lead special projects and strategic People initiatives that support organizational growth and evolving business priorities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Seven to Ten years of progressive Human Resources or People Operations experience, including experience partnering directly with business leaders in an HR Business Partner or People Operations capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and improving HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, HR systems, and organizational workflows.
  • Hands on experience administering an Applicant Tracking System, preferably Greenhouse, including reporting, workflow optimization, and hiring process management.
  • Strong HRIS experience with reporting, analytics, data integrity, workflow optimization, and process improvement. Experience with modern cloud based HR platforms such as Paycom, Workday, UKG, BambooHR, or similar systems is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, performance management, organizational development, compensation practices, and HR best practices.
  • Professional HR certification such as SHRM CP, SHRM SCP, PHR, or SPHR a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, coaching, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated success improving HR processes, implementing operational efficiencies, and building scalable People Operations practices.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, growth oriented environment with a hands on approach and strong attention to detail.
