Pinnacle is looking for Emergency Veterinary  Assistants for Day, Mid-shift and  Overnight shifts!


 Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists is seeking an ER Veterinary assistant who is eager to learn and who will utilize their current experience to help enhance our patient care. Our team embraces this view of a hospital community. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals with a passion for animals and a desire to work in a veterinary setting. The ideal candidate would have at least one year experience in veterinary care and be proficient in:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting patient's cages.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting all areas of the treatment room (floors, countertops etc.)
  • Helping create comfortable sleeping quarters for our patients by doing laundry
  • Assist technician staff with walking and feeding patients.
  • Unpacking packages and deliveries of hospital supplies.
  • Restocking hospital and pharmacy supplies.
  • Running in-hospital lab work.
  • Assisting technicians in taking radiographs.
  • Ability to properly restrain patients for lab work, exams, and treatments.
  • Able to learn veterinary software INSTINCT and medical record keeping.
  • Helping with patient comfort and supporting the nurses in delivering best in class medical care

Requirements

  • Previous experience in pet care or veterinary settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
  •  Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
  •  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  •  Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  •  Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, work on the floor as well as ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on own and able to support up to 80 lbs. with assistance. 

Salary Description$16.00/hr  -$19.00 /hr
