Job description

Internal Medicine Technician or Assistant

This is a full time position, 40 hours a week, four 10 hour shifts rotating weekends. The Internal Medicine Technician or Assistant works collaboratively with their assigned veterinarian, other staff veterinarians and the entire Angell support staff to provide Angell clientele with excellent clinical and customer service. These services include providing technical support in the examination room with outpatient and in-patient procedures, assisting with case management of animals admitted to the hospital, assisting with technical procedures, communications with clients and sometimes referring veterinarians. This person assists the veterinarian in clinic, diagnostic imaging, surgery and in other areas of the hospital. The technician/assistant must be able to interact with all staff members and clients in a positive and dynamic manner and provide technical advice following hospital policies and procedures. It requires knowledge of their specific veterinary specialties clinical tests, procedures, protocols, medical terminology, animal handling and math skills. The technician/assistant should be able to communicate, orally and in writing, veterinary specific clinical information regarding services to our clients and other hospital staff.

Compensation: Veterinary Assistants starting $22-$27/hour Certified Veterinary Technicians starting $25-$30/hr, $5000 Sign on Bonus for CVTs! Please note that candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications
