Location: Austin, TX
 
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Developer/Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and guiding teams on the Enhancement to the existing Pega application and building new applications
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, configure, and deploy Pega applications following industry best practices and Pega guardrails
  • Build and configure Case Types and Custom Case Types, managing full case lifecycle including stages, steps, processes, and alternate flows
  • Develop complex UI/UX screens using Pega's App Studio and Dev Studio, including Section, Harness, and Flow Action rules
  • Write and maintain Declare Expressions, Data Transforms, Activities, and When rules
  • Develop and integrate REST/SOAP APIs using Pega's Connect framework
  • Design and implement SLA (Service Level Agreements), correspondence rules, and notification frameworks
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT to ensure quality delivery
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and defects across the application
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable Pega design solutions
  • Lead application design discussions, define rule structures, and establish coding standards and naming conventions
  • Design efficient data models, class hierarchies, and ruleset structures
  • Create and maintain technical design documents (TDD), architecture diagrams, and solution blueprints
 
Mentoring & Team Guidance
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level Pega developers through hands-on support, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Conduct regular code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with Pega guardrails
  • Provide technical direction and resolve blockers for team members during sprint cycles
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions, internal training, and best practice workshops
  • Support team members in understanding Case Management, assignments, routing, and workbasket configurations
 
Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, and QA teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies — Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and business users
  • Provide accurate effort estimations and flag risks or dependencies proactively
  • Collaborate with DevOps and release management teams for smooth deployment and environment management
 
Skills Required
  • 8+ years of hands-on Pega development experience
  • Strong expertise in Pega Case Management — Case Types, Custom Case Types, Case Hierarchy (Parent-Child Cases), and Case Statuses
  • Proficiency in core Pega rules: Flow, Flow Action, Section, Harness, Data Transform, Decision Rules, Activities, Correspondence
  • Experience with Pega REST APIs and integration with external systems
  • Solid understanding of Pega Class Structure, Ruleset management, and Application layers
  • Hands-on experience with Pega Cosmos React UI or older UI framework (pyTabbedWorkArea, etc.)
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using Pega Tracer and Live UI
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills — ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to diverse audiences
