Are you passionate about data and eager to make a significant impact on national security? We are seeking a talented Dataflow Systems Engineer to join our innovative team and contribute to cutting-edge data solutions for the Department of Defense (DOD). As a Dataflow Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) data pipelines. These pipelines will automate the management, transformation, near-real-time delivery, and storage of vast streams of mission-critical and mission-support data sets for a variety of DOD customers. The successful candidate is an individual who is never satisfied with continuing with the status quo just because "it's the way things have always been done".
Responsibilities:
• Innovate with ETL Pipelines: Create and enhance robust ETL data pipelines to ensure the seamless and reliable processing of data streams.
• Automate for Efficiency: Implement automation to manage and transform data, enabling near-real-time delivery and storage.
• Craft Custom Solutions: Develop or modify Java and Python scripts and create custom processors to meet specific dataflow requirements.
• Support and Maintain: Provide ongoing support for existing data pipelines, troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring smooth operations.
• Drive Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to increase system reliability and performance, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.
Qualifications:
Required:
• U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Apache NiFi (NiagaraFiles) or similar software.
• A self-starter with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Desired:
• Basic experience with Linux operating systems
• Familiarity with Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) solutions in the military services.
• Technical project experience supporting the development, integration, testing, and deployment of systems for the military services.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python scripting.
• Experience with containerization technologies.
• Expertise in SQL database structures and mapping between different SQL databases.
• Experience with API development techniques.
• Proficiency with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes and Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables.
• Experience with project management tools such as JIRA for tracking and managing software development tasks.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
